Legacy At Normandy
The Greatest Generations Foundation is pleased and proud to introduce the Center of International Leadership and Historical Preservation at Normandy – a permanent, 40-bedroom educational facility located just minutes from the Normandy beaches in France and other sites that shaped the history of the war.
The Center of International Leadership and Historical Preservation at Normandy will be established, first and foremost, to serve veterans. In addition to this simple, yet crucial objective, it will also accommodate two different audiences: universities and corporate executives. In both cases, we hope to address the needs of, and help create globally conscious leaders.
The Center will focus on documenting and preserving the stories of World War II veterans who served in the European theater. Visitors, who will include students studying abroad as well as corporate groups and other participants, will be
immersed in the stories, sites and history of World War II. As long as veterans can travel, the center will serve them and provide visitors the opportunity to interact with them.
Their remarkable tales stand alone, but the foundation’s work at the Normandy Center will be to push even further, to help visitors understand what it must have been like to live out the captivating stories of WWII. Through this program, participants will be able to peer into the marrow and to capture the essence of what makes these men heroes.
